President Ram Nath Kovind on Sunday authorised the resignation of West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar who has been named because the ruling Nationwide Democratic Alliance candidate for the vice presidential election.
“The President of India has authorised the resignation of Jagdeep Dhankhar as Governor of West Bengal. The President of India has been happy to nominate Los angeles Ganesan, Governor of Manipur to discharge the purposes of the Governor of West Bengal, along with his personal tasks from the date he assumes fee of the workplace of the Governor of West Bengal, till common preparations are made,” mentioned the Rashtrapati Bhavan notification.
